We have now received the latest versions of the 30 and 50 Muscle Pipes. These new pipes feature enhanced silencing and are now comparable with Hatori etc. Construction has also been beefed up and the pipes should be more durable than ever. What's more, the price has also been reduced to £49.99 and £59.99 respectively and combined with easy fitment to the majority of todays popular helicopters and engines we expect them to be more popular than ever. Duzi parts available for the Hornet range!

Atlast we have been able to obtain stock of Duzi upgrades for the Hornet 2. Quite simply, these are the finest upgrade parts we have found for the Hornet and are beautifully engineered. The range is extremely wide and can be found with full descriptions in the online catalogue. From our own tests we have found worthwhile improvements in accuracy and control and construction which will be appreciated by fliers looking for the very best. They are also built to last.

Mikado logo 14 and Logo 10 carbon

We have now taken delivery of the new 14, which many of you will have seen flying at the 3D Masters and other major events. This thing packs a lot of punch, the 3D electric of the moment. Similarly the 10 carbon is beautifully constructed and very rigid, contributing both to a stiffer airframe and weight reduction, obviously enhancing flight characteristics whilst retaining all the charm of the original. A carbon upgrade kit is also available for existing owners, all details in the online store.

Raptor SE series

The Raptor 50 and 90 models are now available as SE versions, featuring carbon and metal upgrades. Certainly the 90 is now a serious potential high end machine and this has clearly been demonstrated by Alan Szabo and Yamaguchi-san at the 3D Masters, both of them really showed what these machines are capable of in the right hands, and you don't need any funny handshakes and black magic to make them work. Hirobo XRB!

We like this helicopter! I'll be honest, when I first saw it I wrote it off as a useless excuse of a heli. I was wrong, it is completely endearing, hugely stable, easy to fly and totally suitable for indoor use. This is THE way to learn nose in flying in a confined space, and is a blast for precision hovering. Hell we're thinking of holding an indoor FAI competition in the shop. However it is NOT a 3D ship, it will only fly the right way up and is too stable for anything other than hovering. Sounds boring, no way! teach your partner/kids/whatever to fly. Or practice backwards flying etc. Amaze your friends, amaze yourself!!

Zagi Brushless motors

If you don't have a Zagi, get one. If you have got a Zagi, then get a brushless motor and Lipoly pack in it. Now. Truly opens up the Zagi experience. performance massively increased and great flight times. look under the Zagi section in the online store for details. I know it looks expensive but its an investment!!

The cooling efficiency has been improved using a new blue anodized heat sink head. OS MAX37SZ-H

We all knew it, OS knew it, the OS32 SX-H is dead long live the OS37 SZ-H.
These days, radical 3-D flight is the buzzword. This helicopter engine gives you the power you need. The need for power is highest in 30 class small models where enthusiasts want a small, high-power engine. Now, the OS 37SZ-H - a new, compact engine in the SZ series.
Designed especially for helicopters. The all-new 37SZ-H engine is fully compatible both with regard to mounting hole and muffler position to the popular old 32SX-H and can therefore be mounted in any of the existing 30 class helicopters. To achieve the low vibration required for a helicopter engine, a good balance has been struck between both the higher r.p.m. for aerobatics and lower r.p.m. for stable hovering which results in smooth power across the entire r.p.m. range. Thanks to a specially designed 20M carburettor, this power can be obtained right from idle, through hovering or during stunning 3-D flights. Bob's done it again! He found this neat kit which allows you to run 710 main blades and 105 Tails without the chance of striking. It is quick to fit and is well made. If you look at Bob's models they are all fitted with them.

V Blades are here!

Or more specifically, V Blades, V Paddles, and V Tail blades. We still can't believe it took us so long to get round to discovering these gems. The paddles are a total revelation, so far every machine we've tried them on has been brought to life. Cyclic power and speed is strong, but more importantly the usual downside of nervous hovering and pitchy fast forward flight is missing. In fact the heli tracks better than normal and hovering is smooth and accurate. 

Well it didn't take too many flights to convince us that these were 'a good thing' and we made arrangements with Vic to distribute for him in the UK and Europe. The first batch of 50 were sold in 10 days and at £24.99 we can't think of a more cost effective upgrade. 

The V Blades themselves are a work of art, produced by hand, and finished to an extremely high standard. Blade rigidity and torsional stiffness are extraordinary and you can really feel the extra bite when pushing them hard. If you get the chance you really should try the twist test with these blades, kinda puts things in perspective. At £89.99 for the 600mms and £97.99 for the 710mms they're not going to suit everyone's requirements, but if you're no longer binning blades on a regular basis, or you just like the best then look no further. 

Quite simply, you'll understand why Curtis flies them along with a number of other top US pilots. They might look expensive against the regular stuff, but in the context of performance and the cost of a top drawer heli, you can see the value. Always surprises us why people don't invest more in the bits that are actually responsible for the aerodynamics.... I mean a Futaba 9252 's a good servo, but it sort of makes a V Blade look good value!

Well its here, the long awaited replacement for the Hornet, and its back with a vengeance! Its everything the original nearly was and some. For those of you into the micro heli scene (and the rest of you who haven't seen the light) the Hornet II has moved the boundaries. This machine is truly 3D capable in the fullest sense, we're not talking about a wobbly inverted hover here, we're talking fast inverted backward flight....etc....I think that probably covers concerns in the tail area!

We'll be putting up a full report page on this great machine as soon as, along with pricing and deal package info too so watch this space. 

So what you may say? Well we're a little bit proud that we've managed to sort this out as it was kind of starting to irritate. Well we now have a carrier who's prepared to take on the huge risk of shipping the fine fluid but we were surprised at the lengths we had to go to. Perhaps our MEP can look into this and ensure that carriers are once again able to make their own risk assessments. Anyway, we're sorry for the time its taken to sort this out but all's well that ends well.

The International Toy Fair is allegedly where its all at and we'll be taking lots of piccies and making lots of notes. Being a toy fair, we're hoping to have fun, being Nuremburg  we might have to work at it. "Bring me a new fraulein, this one's broken!"
